Abstract. The electrospinning technology was used for preparing nanofibers based on Bombyx mori chitosan. There are many factors that influence the structure of nanofibers, and in this paper, chitosan nanofibers were formed using two solvents (acetic acid and trifluoroacetic acid), and the influence of the electrospinning process on the structure and morphology of nanofibers was shown. The morphology of electrospun fibres was studied using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and an atomic force microscope (AFM), as well as X-ray and FTIR methods to investigate nanofiber structure. Chitosan in nanofiber sheet format has great potential to be widely used in various applications derived from its biocompatibility and biodegradability.
