Abstract. This paper is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the outstanding Uzbek chemist Sayyora Sharafovna Rashidova. This paper briefly describes the most significant strokes - the stages of scientific activity related to the development of polymer science in Uzbekistan and the organization of various scientific, educational and industrial structures based on the Institute.
