Abstract. From the memoirs of N.N. Semenov when he was awarded the Nobel Prize: "When I listened to music, I could see that unforgettable time of the 1920s and early 1930s, when I, still a young man, and my dear comrades, then very young laboratory workers, at the Institute at the experimental facilities and at home at the desk, we experienced the brightest joys of creativity, when every day brought us new riddles, and when we eventually successfully solved these riddles and punched new paths through the seemingly impenetrable jungle.
